资源简介:
High-intensity interval training (HIIT) refers to “intermittent exercise that involves alternating short bursts of high-intensity activity with lower-intensity activity for recovery or rest”. The goal of HIIT is to constantly stress the physiological system of body that will be engaged during a certain endurance-type of exercises to a larger extent than compared to what is truly needed throughout the activity. With the help of this study, we are able to find out the changes on cardiorespiratory fitness and performance of weightlifters. Convenient sampling was used tr obtain 15 number of athletes with a age group of 12-20. This study concludes that HIIT helps the Olympic style weightlifters in increasing their aerobic capacity or maximum oxygen consumption capacity or VO2 Max with their specific training warm-up training and boosting their performance by increasing their cardiac output which is needed while lifting heavy weights i.e increased by improving their cardiovascular health.
