资源简介:
This encompasses 14 years of Earth observation data collected from the MODerate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instrument. These data are collected on-board 2 satellite platforms named Aqua and Terra. The data is collected in 36 spectral band from approximately 0.3 - 12 micrometers. Daily observations (and mostly twice daily) are performed for every point on Earth making this an extremely valuable environmental record over the last 14 years. A multitude of biophysical products are routinely derived from this Level 1B data. Over the next year these data will be used to generate (primarily) sediment products for the WAMSI dredge node and water quality products for the WAMSI Kimberly Marine Research Program. Time-series analysis will be conducted with these data to establish background conditions, examine trends and to identify hot spots within the biophysical parameters to be derived from these data. These created products will be used for management of the natural resources of the Kimberly and Pilbara regions of Western Australia. The WAMSI dredge node sediment data will primarily be used by other researchers within the WAMSI dredge node. These data will be used to map the spread of spoil dumping and overspill from the dredging operation. It will be used to monitor the inundation of natural resources such as seagrass and corals. It will be used to improve current modelling for future dredging programs. The WAMSI KMRP data will be used for time-series analysis of biophysical parameters such as sea surface temperature, water quality and primary production. These data will be used in the management of natural resource assets within a number of new Kimberley marine parks.
