Data From a Randomized Control Trial That Examined the Impact of a Cash Transfer and Psychological Intervention on Alcohol Outcomes and Household Welfare in India, 2018-2019

This dataset comes from a randomized controlled trial in India that tested the effects of a cash transfer and a psychological counselling intervention on alcohol outcomes and household welfare. It includes baseline demographic and household information (200 households), as well as detailed daily alcohol consumption, expenditure, and blood alcohol content data for 220 frequent alcohol users over 90 days. Measures of psychological hardiness and alcohol dependency (CAGE questionnaire) were collected at both baseline and endline.
