This dataset contains the output from a five-model hydrodynamic ensemble simulation of long-term lake thermal dynamics and ice phenology for three lakes in the Adirondack Park, New York, USA: Challis Pond (43.9833° N, 73.6706° W), Rat Pond (44.3528° N, 74.3117° W), and Black Pond (44.4367° N, 74.3014° W).
The simulations span 1940–2024 and were performed using LakeEnsemblR, an ensemble framework that integrates five one-dimensional hydrodynamic lake models forced with ERA5 reanalysis meteorological data. Lake-specific hypsography, morphometry, and initial conditions were used to reconstruct historical thermal structure and ice phenology for each lake. Model output was evaluated against available in situ temperature profile observations and satellite-derived ice phenology records.
The dataset includes modeled lake temperatures, thermal metrics, ice phenology variables, and derived physical indicators used in the accompanying publication
