Dataset for "Source depth effects on surface wave generation in 3D deep sedimentary basins"
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains synthetic ground‑motion data generated for the study “Source depth effects on surface wave generation in 3D deep sedimentary basins” (Soto‑Moncada & Lopez‑Caballero, 2026, Journal of Seismology [in revision]). The data consist of three‑component acceleration time histories recorded at surface from high‑resolution three‑dimensional numerical simulations of seismic wave propagation in idealized sedimentary basins. The simulations were performed using the Spectral Element Method code SEM3D. Content of the dataset HDF5 files (.h5) containing acceleration time histories at the basin surface (X,Y,Z components) for each simulation case Derived surface‑wave metrics obtained using the Normalized Inner Product (NIP) method (Meza‑Fajardo et al., 2015): "NIPmetrics_perstation_perwindow.csv" Simulation framework Numerical solver: SEM3D (CEA, CentraleSupélec, IPGP, CNRS) Basin geometries: semi‑spherical (SS) and trapezoidal‑cone (TC) Sediment shear‑wave velocities: Vs = 400 m/s and Vs = 900 m/s Seismic sources: double‑couple point sources at varying depths
