Concrete with Vinasse

oncrete has been used as a building material for thousands of years, with the addition of Portland cement in the 19th century marking a significant evolution in its use. Today, concrete remains fundamental in construction, particularly for structural foundations. To enhance properties such as setting time, workability, and consistency, research has focused on incorporating additives. Vinasse, a byproduct of the sugar and alcohol industries prevalent in Brazil, offers potential as an additive. This study evaluates the effects of partially or fully replacing mixing water in concrete with vinasse, using various ratios and curing periods to assess compressive strength.
