资源简介:

This research examined freshwater sediment samples from study sites located around Southeastern Wisconsin in a Lake Michigan drainage basin. The goal of this study was to investigate salt-loving bacteria (halophiles) in the sediment as potential biological indicators to help assess chloride-impacted freshwaters. Halomonadaceae, a true halophilic family, was isolated out of the sediment across all study sites and found to be widespread and permanent microbial community members. This BioProject contains 16s rRNA sequences of each Halomonadaceae isolate obtained and Next-Generation Sequencing v4 region data from DNA-extracted sediment samples where unique Halomonadaceae ASVs were obtained.
