资源简介:
The Sydney Older Persons Study is a longitudinal study aiming to increase the understanding about ageing successfully, with a focus on the definition, consequences and possible causes of neurodegenerative disorders. Over a 10 year period, participants aged 75 years and older were regularly tested on their mental and physical function. Over the span of the study, the average age was 89 years old, including 15 participants who were over 100 years old. This wave of the study (conducted between 1996 and 1997) did not have the broad aims of the first two waves. It is a more specific study which involved taking a blood sample from the participants, together with the completion of a medication history. Background variables include age, gender, country of birth, parents' country of birth, marital status and main language spoken.
