Draft genome of Desulfovibrio sp. HK-II. Nitratidesulfovibrio sp. HK-II

Desulfovibrio sp. HK-II was isolated from the surface of anode in a microbial fuel cell. Strain HK-II consume lactate as electron donor and sulfate as electron acceptor. Interestingly, strain HK-II also use electrode(carbon graphite) as electron acceptor in microbial fuel cell.This result indicated strain HK-II has extracellular electron transfer mechanism. Our goal is elucidation of extracellular electron transfer mechanism of strain HK-II.
