About Studying Dialects of Modern Spanish = Об изучении диалектов современного испанского языка

According to the famous American linguist W.J. Moulton, there are three large «linguistic laboratories»: diachronic research, that is, the study of the history of languages from monuments; synchronous research – the study of living languages, their comparison, the development of universals; dialectological studies, which combine the study of language in three dimensions: in time, space and at the social level. Dialectology allows you to get a large body of data, information that is important for the construction of universals, making it possible to understand the processes in the history of the language.
