RNA sequencing of mouse kidney response to rilmenidine

This dataset consists of kidney gene expression profiles of young UM-HET3 mice subjected to rilmenidine for 1 month. Corresponding age-, sex- and strain-matched littermate controls are also presented. Using this data, we assessed association between gene expression response to rilmenidine in kidney and established signatures of lifespan-extending interventions and aging. This dataset complements corresponding liver data stored at GSE131868. Overall design: 3-month old UM-HET3 male mice from University of Michigan Medical School were subjected to rilmenidine (10 ppm) for 1 month. Their littermate controls of the same age and sex were also used for the analysis. 4 biological replicates were used for the rilmenidine group, and 6 biological replicates were used for the control group. In all cases, interventions continued until the animals were sacrificed.
