Dataset for "Secondary reconnection between interlinked flux tubes driven by magnetic reconnection with a short x-line"

The dataset is the result of three-dimensional (3-D) particle-in-cell(PIC) simulations of magnetic reconnection produced by the VPIC code. Detailed data include: three-dimensional distribution of magnetic field and current density, two-dimensional distribution of magnetic fields, ion flow velocity, current density, and energy conversion rate. The data can be read using IDL and paraview. The dataset can be used to study magnetic reconnection in 3-D space.
