Microbial profile of plaque, saliva, tumor in oral cancer patients

The present study was a small attempt to elucidate the link between microbiome and oral cancers via utilizing Next Generation Sequencing. As the previous studies have provided a deep insight into the link between microbiome and oral cancer, the present study also focuses on the elucidation of oral microbial communities association. Our study depicts the presence of key oral microbiota in the oral cavity and the tumor tissue of oral cancer patients where these organisms colonizes and disrupts the healthy microbiota which leads to development and progression of oral cancer.
