This dataset augments the article: "Magnetic resonance velocimetry of particle hydrodynamics in a three-dimensional draft tube spout-fluid bed" published in Chemical Engineering Journal (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.cej.2024.149678).  This dataset consist of  Magnetic resonance velocimetry data of a vertical cross-section through a draft tube spout-fluid bed at various operational settings. The data is saved as a MATLAB ".mat" file (Velocity.mat). This file contains a struct that relates the velocity fields in the annular region (ann_vx and ann_vy) and the tube region (tube_vx and tube_vy) to the respective settings of the experiments.  The fields of the struct are as follows Qf: Gas flow rate of the background fluidization in liters per minute at norm conditions Qs: Gas flow rate of the spout flow in liters per minute at norm conditions L: Length of the draft tube in mm Hg: Gap height of the draft tube in mm D: Diameter of the draft tube in mm Hb: Bed height of the particle bed in mm ann_vx: Horizontal velocity of the particles in the annular region in cm/s ann_vy: Vertical velocity of the particles in the annular region in cm/s tube_vx: Horizontal velocity of the particles in the tube region in cm/s tube_vy: Vertical velocity of the particles in the tube region in cm/s An accompanying example script to load and present the data as a Matlab script and a Python Script (ExampleData.m and ExampleData.py) An example simulation case of a DTSFB ("DraftTube_Hg5_ChemEngJ.zip") simulated via CFD-DEM using the CFDEMcoupling framework (https://www.cfdem.com/cfdemcoupling;  https://github.com/CFDEMproject/CFDEMcoupling-PUBLIC)
