Parasitic Egg Dataset is a publicly available dataset developed by Chulalongkorn University. It contains 2907 microscopic images acquired from various devices, covering 5 categories of parasite eggs. This dataset was created to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of parasite egg detection using deep learning technologies, addressing the drawbacks of time consumption and subjectivity associated with traditional manual detection methods. The images in this dataset have diverse quality, including varying degrees of blur and illumination variations, simulating a wide range of real-world conditions that may be encountered in practice. Its primary application fields focus on medical diagnosis, especially in regions with limited healthcare resources or a shortage of professional experts, to enable rapid and accurate parasite egg detection.
