资源简介:
Fat, Oil and Grease (FOG) deposits are one primary cause of sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs). Very little is known about the biodegradation potential of FOG deposit and the connection between FOG deposit formation and biodegradation in sewer lines. In this study, the FOG deposit biodegradation potential was determined by studying the biodegradation of the calcium salt of palmitic acid (C16:0) in laboratory under aerobic, nitrate reduction, sulfate reduction and methanogenic conditions.
