This dataset contains recordings from the Abbott weather station located in Glacier National Park, British Columbia, Canada. It is divided into two subdatasets: an hourly dataset and a 10 minute based dataset. The station is used primarily for winter avalanche forecasting; therefore, it is deactivated during summer months. The usual recording period begins in early October and ends in late May. Parks Canada staff visit and maintain the station multiple times each winter, and instruments are repaired and calibrated during the summer when required. File names indicate whether the data represent hourly or 10 minute recordings, and include the first and last timestamps contained in each file.
