This project focuses on the whole genome sequencing of Neisseria gonorrhoeae WHO reference genomes as well as clinical isolates displaying resistance to antimicrobials, including extended-spectrum cephalosporins. All isolates were provided by Prof. Magnus Unemo, Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Gonorrhoea and Other STIs. The 26 genomes were sequenced using the PacBio Sequel technology.
