Salt-Sensitive Ileal Microbiota Plays a Role in Atrial Natriuretic Peptide Deficiency-Induced Cardiac Injury

Here, we systematically analyzed the influence of microbiome depletion on pathological changes in different organs in ANP-/- mice and further studied ileal microbiota composition by shotgun metagenomics as well as metabolites of ileal epithelium using metabolomics to reveal the role of host-microbiota interaction in the development of hypertension.
