Supporting data for "Dynamic performance of a jacket platform under ship collision"

This dataset contains processed numerical results supporting the manuscript entitled “Dynamic performance of a jacket platform under ship collision”. The dataset includes:(1) definitions of the four simulated ship–jacket collision configurations;(2) global peak displacement, stress, acceleration, velocity, and collision-force results;(3) collision-force time histories;(4) velocity and displacement time histories at representative impact locations; and(5) internal-energy distribution data. The processed data were obtained from explicit finite-element simulations of low-speed ship impact on a deep-water jacket platform. The dataset supports the main results presented in Figs. 5–13 of the associated manuscript. The complete finite-element input files, commercial solver files, and third-party literature data are not included in this dataset.
