This is the raw time series data from a custom force measurement system using Arduino. It provides force outputs (in grams) of a load cell connected to a DC motor acting as a small dynamometer for determining power characteristics of a small in-stream water wheel in an experimental water tunnel. It also provides frequency data by capturing data for each rotation of the turbine using a magnet and Hall effect sensor. This data is processed using the Matlab script as detailed below and in the file. Some notable findings include Cp-TSR curves for a number of blade depths and velocities, confirmation that the power produced by an undershot water wheel is proportional to both the depth ratio squared and the velocity cubed, as well as the linearity of torque vs. TSR.
