Effect of stress-evolved bacteria on the transcription profile of C. elegans in the presence and absence of paraquat

Worms were fed either control (OP50) or stress-evolved (OP50PQE) bacteria until the L4 stage, after which they were transferred to FUdR (5'-fluorodeoxyuridine) plates with and without 2.5 mM paraquat. Subsequently, the worms were washed with M9 buffer and then flash-frozen in liquid nitrogen. RNA was isolated from the frozen samples using Trizol reagent and purified using the Direct-Zol Miniprep Plus Kit.
