Vitis rotundifolia Genome sequencing and assembly. Vitis rotundifolia

Vitis rotundifolia, or muscadine, is a grapevine species native to the southeastern and south-central United States. It is considered as excellent genetic resources for grape breeding programs as they are known for their hardiness and resistance to pests and diseases. This project aims to develop a genome assembly for this wild grape and it will help the study of grapevine breeding.
