Ixodes scapularis microbiome - Northern and Southern region of The United States

This work would provide some basic information whether tick microbiome (or some endosymbiotic bacteria) has to do anything with 95% of Lyme disease cases in Northeastern states while in Southern States, Lyme disease cases are negligible. On the basis of finding of this work, some further experiments would be performed to dig deep in to the query.
