whole genome sequencing of Tetraodon palembangensis

The humpback puffer, Tetraodon palembangensis, is a kind of poisonous freshwater pufferfish mainly distributed in Southeast Asian. Despite interesting biological features, such as inactive nature, tetrodotoxin and body expansion mechanisms, molecular research on the humpback puffer is still rare because of the lack of high-quality genome. Here we performed genome assembly, gene annotation and comparative genomics analysis of an adult pufferfish.
