GHS-SDGSAT-1 – Global Human Settlement SDGSAT-1 Nighttime Lights Composite for the Po Plain, Italy

High-resolution nighttime lights composite from SDGSAT-1 of the years 2022 and 2023 for the Po Plain, Italy. The generated composites aim to minimize contamination from atmospheric conditions, moonlight reflection, and sensor anomalies, while maximising the similarity of aggregated SDGSAT-1 nighttime lights data with existing, calibrated annual VIIRS composites by leveraging structural image features and a ranking-based compositing approach. The data consists of raster datasets including the final and intermediate model outputs, and represents supplementary material for Pesaresi, et al., 2026, available at https://doi.org/10.1016/j.rse.2026.115313.
