LTER - Long-Term Ecological Research Program/Konza Prairie (KNZ) LTER/KNZ003 [Summary adapted from the LTER Core Data Set Catalog]: The following weather data are included in this data set: hourly -- mean temperature, mean relative humidity, mean windspeed, total precipitation total solar radiation, wind direction (sampled on the hour); daily -- mean, maximum and minimum air temperature, total precipitation, total solar radiation. These data are collectecd by a micrologger at headquarters on Konza Prairie. Note: The Hourly values are not on-line. If you need data contact John M. Briggs at jmb@andro.konza.ksu.edu. The Konza Prairie Research Natural Area (KPRNA) is a representative of native tallgrasss prairie in the Flint Hills of eastern Kansas. The Konza Prairie was established as a research facility in 1972 and now contains 3,487 ha. The land was acquired by the Nature Conservancy and is leased to the Division of Biology at Kansas State University for research purposes.
