Incentivized Torts: An Experimental Analysis - Replication Materials
收藏资源简介:
This data set provides a description and replication materials for a data set collected to test the deterrent effect of group causation theory in tort law through a series of incentivized laboratory experiments. The experiments involved having participants make incentivized choices about whether or not to take actions that could impose losses on another individual participating in the experiment. Participants made choices under four different treatments, "Context Free" treatments both with and without potential liability for their choices and "Vignette" treatments also with and without liability for their choices. Our experiments showed that expanding liability for harm through group causation can weaken the deterrent effect and also reduce fairness concerns.
