Avian Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica strains - NGS genome sequencing and assembly

Salmonellosis is an important epidemiological and economic issue in poultry farming industry, not only at the breeding phase, but also distribution and sales.The project gathers over 70 Salmonella enterica strains isolated from poultry (broilers, laying hens, turkeys, geese). The samples were collected from 2009-2023 and originated from various European countries (Poland, Ukraine, Spain, Netherlands), as well as outside Europe (Turkey, Egypt and Brasil).
