资源简介:

Dalkey Islands are located 300m offshore in the south east of Dublin Bay. This group of three islands (Dalkey Island, Lamb Island and Maidens' Rock) form a heritage site with significant archaeological, ecological and cultural heritage stretching back at least 5000 years. Remains include a mesolithic midden, promontory fort, 10th Century church, and 19th century Martello tower and battery. The Geological survey as part of the CHERISH project conducted an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) survey of the islands in September 2020. This data will be used as a baseline from which to investigate the impacts of climate change on these iconic islands. The granite bedrock of the island formed approximately 400 million years ago as the Iapetus Ocean closed and the continents of Laurentia and Avalonia came together. The same rock makes up the high point of Killiney Hill and the nearby Dublin Mountains. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
