Targeted next-generation sequencing of urine and plasma DNA from patients with prostate cancer.

One of the main approaches to the treatment of prostate cancer (PCa) is an anti-androgen therapy. However, the development of resistance to it is not uncommon and is usually detected during late stages of PCa progression. A promising way to identify it at earlier stages is to search for genes whose mutations are associated with it and can be detected in urine and/or plasma of patients. In this study, we performed targeted next generation sequencing of urine and plasma DNA from patients with prostate cancer. A control group contained samples from patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
