This Excel-based calculation template provides automated horizontal stability verification of cross-laminated timber (CLT) shearwall panels under lateral loads. The principle that assumes the wall to pivot around a point, as in the calculation of the required hold-down forces, is described in literature, but no unified methodology existed that consolidates this approach with all stability checks and connector selection into a single step-by-step design tool. The spreadsheet contains built-in formulas that automatically perform all calculations once the user inputs project-specific parameters such as design loads, building geometry, wall dimensions, and material properties. It consolidates overturning, sliding, and uplift checks into a unified Eurocode-aligned workflow (EN 1991-1-1, EN 1991-1-4, EN 1995-1-1) with integrated connector selection and generates ready-to-use output forms suitable for building authority review.
