Beginning of the poem, on fol. 12b. It is divided into four books; Book I ends with Rustam’s return from Turkistân and Afrâsiyâb’s flight; Book II, beginning on fol. 200b, with Gushtâsp’s accession; Book III, beginning on fol. 315b, goes down to the accession of Nûshirwân; and Book IV, beginning on fol. 461b, comprises the rest. Dated by Majd-aldîn bin Ibrâhîm Ḥâfiż, A.H. 1012, the 29th of Muḥarram (A.D. 1603, July 9).
