BRCA1 and FOXO1 are known tumor suppressor genes. However, they have also been suggested to have tumor-promoting roles in some cancers. Depletion of BRCA1 or FOXO1 resulted in decreased cell proliferation in MCF7 cells. To investigate the role of these genes in cancer cells, RNA-sequencing was performed in BRCA1 or FOXO1 knockdown MCF7 cells.
