ENHANCING STUDENTS' KNOWLEDGE IN BIOETHICS EDUCATION THROUGH MODERN INTERACTIVE TEACHING METHODS

Bioethics plays a critical role in the professional formation of medical students, requiring not only theoretical knowledge but also ethical reasoning and practical decision-making skills. Traditional lecture-based instruction often limits student engagement and reduces learning effectiveness. This study examines the impact of modern interactive teaching methods on improving students’ knowledge and learning outcomes in bioethics education.Interactive approaches, including case-based learning, problem-based discussions, role-playing simulations, academic debates, small-group workshops, and digital educational tools, were incorporated into the curriculum. These methods promote active participation, collaborative learning, and the practical application of ethical principles to clinical and professional scenarios.The use of ethical case analysis enhanced students’ ability to evaluate complex moral dilemmas and apply ethical frameworks. Role-playing and simulation improved communication skills, empathy, and ethical decision-making. Group discussions and debates strengthened critical thinking and deeper conceptual understanding. Digital platforms supported self-directed learning, continuous assessment, and increased learning motivation.The findings indicate that interactive teaching methods significantly improve student engagement, knowledge retention, and practical comprehension of bioethical concepts compared to conventional teaching approaches. Integrating modern pedagogical strategies into bioethics education contributes to the development of ethically competent healthcare professionals.
