The EC and EFSA aim to ensure the high quality of AMR data submitted for the harmonized EU surveillance on AMR. Each year, selected resistance profiles reported by Member States to the EFSA database are confirmed through reference Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST) and Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) at the EURL-AR.
