Ant community abundance data from a goat-grazing disturbance gradient in the Tumbesian dry forest, Zapotillo, Ecuador (2018)

Plot-level abundance matrix of ant morphospecies (Formicidae) collected using pitfall traps across three disturbance levels (Dense, Semi-dense, and Open forest) in Zapotillo canton, Loja Province, Ecuador. Sampling was conducted in November 2018. The dataset includes 486 pitfall traps distributed across 27 plots (9 per disturbance level, 18 traps per plot), recording 47,459 individuals belonging to 22 morphospecies from 6 subfamilies. Variables include: site ID, plot ID, trap ID, disturbance level (Formación), morphospecies name, and number of individuals per trap.
