资源简介:
The Japanese Swedish Antarctic Expedition, JASE, is a joint contribution to the International Polar Year. The tracked-vehicles-based expedition made use of two start points, the Japanese Syowa Station and the Swedish Wasa station. The JASE traverse investigated inland environment of the ice sheet along the line connecting four Antarctic Stations, Syowa - Dome Fuji - Kohnen - Wasa. The start took place in November 2007, aiming at a meeting point on the Polar Plateau in late December, for joint scientific efforts and exchange of a few crew members. The total length of the traverse line was more than 2800-km. The JASE traverse was conducted successfully. The data set is video records and photo records for the JASE traverse. Video images were taken by S. Sugiyama and K. Taniguchi. Editorial works were also done by them.
