Efficient Frontier Analysis, adapted from investment portfolio theory, allows us to identify the level of operationally efficiency of banks and the quality level of their business portfolio for maximizing profits. What sets Hoeg & Company’s Ratings apart from other measures of bank efficiency and quality is that they: • Take into account the nature of each bank’s underlying book of business in determining operational efficiency • Identify the actual limits of performance achievable • Are business cycle and industry trend independent The rating cover all Scheduled Commercial Banks in India that submit financial data to the Reserve Bank of India. Ratings can be produced for periods going back to 2005 and for all expense categories reported to the Reserve Bank of India.
