Perceived Ethnic Inequality and social comparison, experience of inequality, media, and contact with other ethnic groups in Iranian Turks and Kurds

The statistical population of this study was 20 to 60-year-old people from Tabriz (city of Turks) and Sanandaj (city of Kurds) in 2021. The reason for choosing these two cities was that Tabriz and Sanandaj are the most developed Turkish and Kurdish cities in Iran. The sample size was 320 (160 people for each group) due to the possibility of dropout.Cluster sampling was used in this study: First, all four Sanandaj districts and seven Tabriz districts (from ten districts) were selected. Second, one to two streets were chosen within each of these districts. Third, one to three alleys were selected within each street. Then, in the alleys, we started from the first house on the right side and went on to every other house. If the occupants of the selected house answered the questions, one house was passed over, and the next was questioned. The next door was asked if there was no answer in the selected house. We should note that all selections were random.
