Samples were collected from identical bench-scale biological nutrient removal systems (i.e., SBBRs) designed to remove nitrogen and phosphorus from domestic wastewater.Sequencing data using universal bacterial primers were used to target the V3-V4 hypervariable region of the 16S rRNA gene. 2x150 bp paired end sequencing was performed on an llumina NextSeq 2000 platform.
