Data and code for "The kinetic basis of photosynthetic heat tolerance" by Bison NN, Michaletz ST. Version v3 (October 2026): In the version of this article initially published, values of the pre-exponential factor A for PSII inactivation were labelled as s-1 but had been estimated with time in minutes, so the reported ln(A) values were too high by ln(60) ≈ 4.09. The ln(A) values for PSII inactivation in Fig. 2c and Fig. 3e-g, the rates of PSII dysfunction (k) in Fig. 2d, and the corresponding Source Data for Figs. 2 and 3, Extended Data Tables 1-3, and Extended Data Fig. 3 have been corrected to s-1. The Source Data now also report fitted values of A (s-1) rather than the transformed values of ln(A).
