Life insurance written premiums in Norway 2011-2019

From 2011 to 2019, the value of gross written premiums by life insurance companies on the domestic market in Norway has been fluctuating. The lowest value was reported in 2011 at over 9.3 billion euros. In comparison, in 2019 the life insurance premiums written amounted to approximately 11.1 billion euros. The United Kingdom had the highest value of life insurance premiums among all European counties in 2019, followed by France and Italy. Together, the top three countries accounted for nearly 60 percent of the European market.
