To gain insight into spatial transcriptomics of the cloaca that governs co-development of the bladder and umbilical arteries, Geo-seq analysis of the cloaca at the initial stage of co-development was done. Strategic region-of-interests (ROIs) including both the cloacal epithelium (CE) and mesenchyme (CM) were sampled along the dorsoventral and rostrocaudal axes of the cloaca at E11.5. this was done to examine region-specific gene signatures of the cloaca.
