Amplicon sequencing of metagenomic DNA from sediment and seawater and bioinformatic analysis of microbial community composition

The project performed amplicon sequencing of metagenomic DNA and bioinformatic analysis of sediment and seawater microbial community composition, with seawater samples collected during calm and stormy weather to determine the influence of weather conditions on community composition and thus on the resistome, as bacteria are carriers of various intrinsic and acquired mechanisms/genes of antibiotic resistance, which is important for human and environmental health.
