This study utilized 16S rRNA gene-based metagenomics to investigate the gut microbial composition across worker bees, queen bees, and drones of Apis mellifera. Analysis of beta diversity and species richness revealed significant differences between worker bees and both drones and queens, whereas no significant differences were observed between drones and queens.
