Supporting Materials for "Structure of the North-Central Chile subduction zone from local earthquake tomography" - velocity models, relocated earthquake catalogs, and local slab surface data for the Atacama segment
收藏资源简介:
The present dataset includes the following materials for the Atacama segment in north-central Chile: minimum 1D velocity models, 3D velocity models (Vp, Vs, Vp/Vs), relocated seismic catalogs (including P-wave arrival times and S-P differential times in the absolute relocation case), and the "NewSlab" geometry. These datasets are part of the study “Structure of the North-Central Chile subduction zone from local earthquake tomography”. Description of each dataset: Data Set S1 - minimum 1D model: Derived minimum 1D velocity model obtained with (VELEST) and used to obtain the presented results (for detailed procedure, refer to the main article). Line 1 gives general information from the author. Line 2 contains number of layers, depth, Vp velocity, Vs velocity, Vp/Vs ratio. Lines 3 to 23 describe values at different layers. Data Set S2 - Final 3D Vp, Vp/Vs and Vs models: Final output velocity model obtained from (SIMUL2023) for the 3D Vp, Vp/Vs and Vs models (simul format). Line 1 describes bld factor, number of nodes in the x, y, and z directions. Lines 2, 3, and 4 describe the positions of the nodes (in km) from the origin (-70.8333, -27.0142), respectively. Lines 5 to 454: Vp values (in km/s). Lines 455 to 904: Vp/Vs ratios. Lines 905 to 1354 Vs values (in km/s). Data Set S3 - relocated seismic catalog (Absolute relocation): Hypocentral information of the seismicity catalog after the absolute relocation (for detailed procedure, refer to main article). Columns are organized as follows: year, month, day, hour, minute, seconds, latitude, longitude, depth (in km). P-wave arrival times and S-P differential times associated to each event. Data Set S4 - relocated seismic catalog (relative relocation): Hypocentral information of the seismicity catalog after the final relative relocation (for detailed procedure, refer to main article). Columns are organized as follows: year, month, day, hour, minute, seconds, latitude, longitude, depth (in km). Data Set S5 - used seismic catalog: Hypocentral information of the seismicity catalog used to derive the velocity model (for detailed procedure, refer to main article). Columns are organized as follows: year, month, day, hour, minute, seconds, latitude, longitude, depth (in km). P-wave arrival times and S-P differential times associated to each event. Data Set S6 - Slab surface: Slab surface for the Nazca Slab in the Atacama segment (northern Chile) obtained by fitting a surface through to the earthquake locations following the procedure of (Sippl et al., (2018)). Columns represent from left to right longitude, latitude and depth, respectively. For questions, requests, or further information regarding the datasets, please contact: nihernandez@udec.cl
