Experiences of negative online activity among internet users in the UK 2016-2019

This statistic displays the findings of a survey on experiences of any negative types of online activity among internet users in the United Kingdom (UK) between 2016 and 2019. In 2016, 15 percent of respondents reported having encountered a computer virus on devices used to go online. By 2019, this number had reduced to eight percent of responding internet users. Financial/personal information theft and online trolling remained rare over the period covered.
