资源简介:
This survey forms part of a major project carried out in connection with the union referenda in 1992 (Maastricht) and in 1993 (Edinburgh). The main part of the data material, which was collected by the Danish Gallup Institute at the request of an election research group consisting of Jørgen Goul Andersen, Jens Hoff, Hans Jørgen Nielsen, Steen Sauerberg and Torben Worre, is based on daily voting barometers (the so-called CATI-measurements), but the project also includes omnibus surveys carried out as interviews in the home or by means of self-administered questionnaires. The project comprises the following surveys at the DDA: # #DDA-1835: Gallup Interviews Before the Union Referendum 1992. #DDA-1836: Gallup Interviews After the Union Referendum 1992. #DDA-1837: Gallup CATIs Before and After the Union Referendum 1992. #DDA-1838: Gallup CATIs Before and After the Union Referendum 1993. #DDA-1839: Gallup Interviews After the Union Referendum 1993. # #This survey contains data collected by the Danish Gallup Institute as part of omnibus no. 06 in 1992. # #The following background variables are included in the data material: #The respondent's sex, age and marital status; size of the household, number of adults (persons aged 15 or more) and children, and age of the children; the respondent's position in the household; the respondent's education, occupational status, public or private employment and income; gross household income; the housewife's occupational status; housing conditions and ownership of the dwelling as well as geographical location and degree of urbanization. # #In addition to this, the following special questions (dealing with topical events) are included: #Voting intention at a hypothetical referendum on Danish entry into the EC and at a hypothetical referendum on Danish withdrawal from the EC; whether the respondent is sufficiently informed about the political union in order to make a decision on whether such a union will be an advantage or a disadvantage for the country; whether the economic or the political co-operation within the EC is most important for Denmark in the long run; attitude to a continued extension of the economic co-operation in an economic union; attitude to a continued extension of the political co-operation in a political union; vote at the European Parliamentary Elections in June 1989; knowledge of the coming referendum on the European Union; voting intention at the coming referendum; most important reasons for voting yes/no at the coming referendum; reasons for not voting; interest in politics (foreign politics, domestic politics, local politics); sources of information on the Union Treaty; whether the respondent has discussed EC matters with family members, friends or colleagues recently; attitude to a joint central bank and a joint currency in an economic and monetary union; attitude to the EC as a political union with responsibility for foreign policy towards countries outside the EC as well as to joint security and defence policy; attitude to the European Parliament, together with the Council of Ministers, having the legislative power in the EC; attitude to the EC playing an active part in securing an improvement of the working environment and working conditions in the member states; attitude to a number of views on the co-operation within the EC; attitude to increased control with the methods of the police; attitude to the introduction of nuclear power in Denmark at a hypothetical referendum; whether the state has too little control of private investments; attitude to a number of statements on the EC (one may usually assume that the decisions made in the EC are reasonable; the EC is basically founded on the will of the populations; the European populations have too little influence when the important decisions are made in the EC; feeling of being a European; the EC was created by and for the politicians; the European Union will in a better way take care of the interests of the Danish population than the present EC co-operation; it is a good thing to strengthen the power of the European Parliament); which party the respondent voted for at the general election on 12 December, 1990; voting intention at a hypothetical general election on the day after the interview; and the political questions which are most important for Denmark (pollution/the environment, unemployment, the economy/balance of payments, social and welfare problems, the tax burden, housing problems, the health services, security policy, the Single European Market, refugees)
