资源简介:
Genus Juglans of Juglandaceae family is known worldwide for its economically valuable timber and as a good source of fat, protein, vitamins and minerals. However, this tree is also a repertoire of structurally diverse secondary metabolites which have many pharmacological importance to the mankind. As far as Indian walnut is concerned very less omics data is available, therefore we performed transcriptome of J.regia to develop resources which will help in elucidation of important molecular mechanism associated with various secondary metabolic pathways (Flavonoid & Phenylpropanoid, Isoprenoid, fatty acids and oil synthesis). The genomic resource obtained from the present study will lay a strong foundation and will form a valuable repository of genetic information of Indian walnut. The information obtained regarding sequences and functional data will provide the preliminary information on the regulatory component of genes associated with various secondary metabolites in this plant.
